I’m Alan Becerril, an Industrial Designer based in Vancouver, Canada.
My journey has taken me from designing and developing products to working hands-on in the construction and glazing industry, where I solve complex challenges on some of the city’s most iconic projects.
I’ve always been driven by curiosity and creativity — whether it’s designing, building, or bringing ideas to life. Over the years, I’ve worked in industrial design, supplier development, event production, and glass installation, gaining a unique mix of technical skill and real-world experience.
This trajectory has shaped me into a professional who can both design on paper and make it happen in reality. Every step has been about learning, adapting, and creating.
Bringing concepts to life beyond traditional design—whether through writing a book, blending cultures, or experimenting with new creative fields. Always moving forward, always creating.

Strategic Design
Every project is guided by functionality, usability, and visual impact to ensure it serves its intended purpose.
This project was developed from personal field experience using a KASK safety helmet in real construction environments. While working on site, I consistently experienced direct sun and heavy rain impacting visibility and comfort, especially around the eyes and face. This led to the design consideration of a brim-style visor as a necessary extension to improve real-world usability.
The project explores a low-profile, integrated visor solution that enhances environmental protection while respecting the helmet’s safety requirements, ergonomics, and visual language. The focus was on creating a seamless addition that does not interfere with balance, movement, or on-site practicality.
The result is a design-driven proposal grounded in hands-on user insight, aiming to improve everyday performance in demanding outdoor conditions. Link to 3D MODEL HERE

My
Ebook
Canadá sin filtros is an honest and personal talk about the real experience of immigrating to Canada.
It’s not a technical manual, but a sincere testimony filled with practical advice, cultural insights, and reflections on the challenges and opportunities of starting over in a new country.
I wrote this book to share what I wish I had known before making the move—to help others face the journey with realistic expectations and the confidence that, while it’s not easy, it is absolutely possible.
